The biocluster dedicated to combating emerging infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance

Infectious Diseases Cluster (IDCluster) aims to transform innovative projects led by academic researchers, start-ups, SMEs, and large companies into industrial solutions to better prevent and combat the threat of Emerging Infectious Diseases (EID) and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in both pre-pandemic and pandemic periods.

Our missions

Connect

the ecosystem involved in combating emerging infectious diseases (EID) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) to create synergies between academic, university hospital, institutional, and private actors (large companies, SMEs/VSEs, and start-ups) and foster the emergence of innovative projects

Accelerate

the development of collaborative R&D projects in pre-industrial innovations, through various support programs, then facilitate their transition to the industrial level

Implement

the deployment and use of epidemiological surveillance solutions, vaccination products, diagnostics, and treatments to provide rapid responses in both pre-pandemic and pandemic periods

Our convictions

Working together to better prepare France for pandemic risks

No organization can single-handedly respond to the challenges posed by emerging infectious threats and antimicrobial resistance.

By combining the strengths of public health authorities, academic research, and economic players in R&D, we can make faster and more effective progress.

Infectious Diseases Cluster aims to be a collaborative, open, and cross-disciplinary organization working toward this common goal.

Capitalizing on collective experience and momentum

France has solid experience in the field of infectious diseases, enriched by the lessons learned from the COVID-19 crisis. Since then, many academic and industrial players and facilitators—such as competitiveness clusters—have mobilized to strengthen coordination and innovation in this field.

Infectious Diseases Cluster builds on these achievements and on innovations already underway to accelerate the collective transformation of these initiatives into concrete solutions.

Promoting talent and confidence in science

France boasts an exceptional wealth of passionate researchers, innovators, laboratories, and companies determined to protect the population.

Our country is brimming with talent and conviction in the fields of emerging infectious diseases (EID) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Infectious Diseases Cluster is a hive of activity for those who believe in the power of science, research, and innovation to meet the challenges posed by these health risks.
